Waring Pro DF55 Deep Fat Fryer

The Waring Pro DF55 is the stainless steel deep fat fryer that is small on space but big on performance, and with a maximum oil capacity of just 8 cups it should keep costs under control and your taste buds overly satisfied.

At roughly the size of large toaster the DF55 sits comfortably between the large semi-professional fryers and the compact single serving models.

Clad in a handsome brushed stainless steel exterior and equipped with a non-stick, removable oil chamber, it is both good looking and low maintenance. (When was the last time you had that combination in your kitchen?)

Unlike its cousin the Waring Pro DF250B, this fryer has high side walls that offer a much deeper frying chamber. Larger items can be submerged in the oil intact and the rigid square basket is big enough to be practical in a wide range of frying situations. The basket can also be hooked in position above the oil to allow food items to drain. If you like to experiment with different deep fry recipes the DF55 will fit your needs nicely.

The rear control panel consists of 'power' and 'oil ready' indicator lights and a simple twist style temperature gauge with an upper limit of 375F. At this setting the oil temperature was both accurate and hot enough to produce quality results. Food items came out with a golden crunchy exterior and moist cooked interior. The DF55 does not come with a timer.

For easy clean up the whole thing disassembles with everything except the heating element immersible in water. To aid in emptying the oil the main chamber has a convenient pour spout.
