Nesco Deep Fat FryersThe National Enameling and Stamping Company (NESCO) first got started in the kitchen appliance business back in the early 1930's, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They were already a longtime manufacturer of pots, pans, and other cooking and farm accessories in the growing agricultural state. Around that time a couple of their engineers were experimenting with electricity. They took some wire, wrapped it around one of their double-boilers, plugged it in, and it got hot. The oven roaster was born.The company expanded their offerings into a range of different kitchen appliances, including the FryRyte deep fryer. Unfortunately the company was eventually split up, and products went different ways. Nesco no longer make deep fryers, but collectors and enthusiasts still look for the 'FryRyte' deep fryer where ever it turns up.
