Knapp-Monarch Deep Fat Fryers

Knapp-Monarch was created in 1929 through the merger of A.S. Knapp & Company of St. Louis, Missouri, with the Monarch Company of Webster City, Iowa.

In 1936, Knapp-Monarch acquired Dover Manufacturing Company of Dover, Ohio, a long-time producer of sad-irons. This acquisition set the course of the design of Knapp-Monarch’s electric irons.

In the coming decades Knapp-Monarch expanded beyonds irons and became a well known producer of small kitchen appliances.

They were acquired by the Hoover company in 1969.

These days Knapp-Monarch Deep Fat Fryers are collectors items. If you want a vintage Knapp-Monarch your best bet is to check on e-bay (see below).
